I want to take a moment and congratulate Kim on a successful defense of her thesis! Kim meticulously developed an objective framework for developing a true Social Story. She also evaluated the effects of those Social Stories on social behaviors in preschoolers with autism. She found that Social Stories did not improve social behaviors for any of her 3 participants. We are very excited about this new line of work and look forward to preparing it for publication, as the implications of the method and the results are quite important for practitioners.
