We Are All In This Together
The mission of Spartan Caregiver Support is to provide quality behavioral and social support that meets the needs of caregivers of people with autism within the State of Michigan. We are here to provide additional support to caregivers, not to replace any current services they may be receiving.
We recognize some families may be receiving in-home or telehealth support, or other behavioral/educational supports. Therefore, we always recommend that caregivers talk and consult with their behavioral health or educational providers about any information we may provide.
Any information we provide aligns with current research and best practices in autism support. We are also aware of our own competencies and have created internal procedures to ensure that we only provide informational support for issues we understand and have expertise in.
Finally, we recognize the difficulty in solving behavioral or social concerns through the dissemination of informational materials. However, we believe that every little bit helps. If we can reduce the stress or worry of a caretaker by even an infinitesimal amount, then we consider that interaction a great success.
