Since late 2015, I’ve been working with Dr. Susan Wilczynski and Dr. Shawn Quigley on a discussion paper about scope of competence in behavior analysis. I’m particularly proud of this paper because I believe it addresses a very important and timely matter in our field, and it also provides a framework for self-evaluation with regard to scope of competence.
Though I discuss scope of competence in my book, Practical Ethics for Effective Treatment of ASD, this paper goes into much greater depth and analysis than I do in the book. Both the book and the paper, I believe, are complimentary to one another with respect to this topic.
